The World Ethical Data Forum

Tomorrow until the 28th the World Ethical Data Forum is taking place, with speakers such as Bruce Schneier, Cory Doctorow, Isabela Fernandes, Frances Haugen, and even Chris Morris. The event is completely free, and very much might be something to have on in the background if you’re doing the right kind of work.

Unfortunately but kind of not because I’m eager to talk book, the session on Heidegger and Technology intersects with our first session of the Reading Group… oh well, I’m sure it’ll be recorded

EDIT: oh and the whole thing is going to run on Matrix, I’m guessing with Jitsi?!? VERY COOL

DOUBLE EDIT: it is Vimeo, still nae bad.

Thankfully one of those can-watch-for-my-job things so yeah I caught a very good amount. They said all of the content would be available after conclusion but at the moment I cannot see it… was a good time for sure, and completely free.
